A message to all our valued customers: In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we are now closed and will therefore be postponing all events that are due to take place in the near future. We will do our best to transfer deposits where possible, although refunds will be issued if deemed necessary.
What we know…
As you likely aware, the government has now enforced a plan of action which means that we are only allowed to leave our homes for the following reasons:
- To travel to work, but only where necessary
- For one form of exercise per day
- To pick up essentials, which includes food and prescriptions
Government regulations also state that only essential businesses are allowed to continue trading at this time, so we have had to close OEC Sheffield until further notice.
It is not known to any of us how long this is going to go on for, but we need to acknowledge that these are essential measures that need to be followed in order to get our country back up and running in the shortest time possible.
Sheffield businesses must stick together!
We are all in this together – which is why we need to do as much as possible to support businesses across the UK.
In Sheffield City Region, the community spirit amongst businesses and the general public is always positive – and we are proud to be a part of this. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to support each other in any way possible through this difficult time.
Small independent businesses across the region, including venues; restaurants; bars and shops, are going to be the ones that struggle the most during this period, so please bear them in mind when life returns to normal – and spend your money locally where possible.
A message from us…
From all the team here at OEC Sheffield, we are deeply saddened that we are not able to welcome you to our venue at this time, but we hope that you follow guidelines in order to stay safe and well.
We are so grateful for your ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming you back when it is safe to do so.
We know that many of you will have questions for us regarding upcoming events and bookings, but please take into consideration that our team are extremely busy at this time.
We hope that the below FAQ will answer most of your questions, however if you do have any urgent enquiries, drop us an email using hello@oecsheffield.co.uk and we will respond as soon as possible.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will your venue re-open?
It is not possible to give a date as to when OEC Sheffield will be able to re-open. We are continuously monitoring government guidelines, and are committed to playing our part in helping you stay safe – hence the decision to close until further notice.
Can I get a refund on my booking?
Our priority is for us to ensure that your booked event will be rescheduled to go ahead as planned in the future; we will therefore be looking at transferring your deposit to the rescheduled event, so that you will be able to enjoy your booking as planned.
Although rest assured that, if the event cannot be rescheduled, or you would like to request a refund – refunds will be issued for all pre-paid bookings. It is to note that we are, however, dealing with an unprecedented amount of work at this time – and our team are working tirelessly to ensure that all bookings and enquiries are dealt with.
If you have a booking with us, you will be contacted by one of our events team to discuss the possibility of rearranging your event, or arranging a refund.
Will live events be rearranged?
It is possible that some of our live events may be rearranged for a later date towards the end of the year, however we cannot guarantee that all acts will be flexible to do so. To keep up to date with events once we are able to re-open, make sure to check the Live Events section of our website.
