OEC Sheffield are participating in the Blue Light Discount card scheme. All Blue Light cardholders can enjoy a 10% discount off live event bookings at OEC Sheffield. If you are a cardholder, all you need to do is call 0114 232 0266 to book and quote ‘Blue Light Discount’ to receive a 10% discount.

What is Blue Light Discount
The Blue Light discount card was launched when Steve Denny, co-founder of the scheme, noticed a gap in the market when working as a police officer. “There was no official discount framework or mechanism at the time, and our lightbulb moment came around 2008” says Steve. The phrase, ‘blue light community’ was coined for emergency service vehicle lights.
The aim of the scheme is to bring together members of the emergency services and reward their efforts with a wide range of discounts. Requiring an initial payment of £4.99, the Blue Light discount card is valid for two years. The scheme provides access to all kinds of discounts, from dining out and fashion to personal technology and day trips, and everything in between. The charity receives no government funding, relying entirely on public donations to continue its work.
