What’s On at Sheffield’s Leading Events venue? See Our 2021 Line-Up

While 2020 may have been a bit of a challenging year for most people so far, 2021 looks set to be very exciting indeed. While we have made adjustments to our schedules and events in the remaining months to come, OEC Sheffield has been busy setting up a schedule of fantastic evenings and tribute acts for the next year. If you’re missing the best live music Sheffield has to offer – it’s time to look ahead to the future.

We’re lining up our events calendar for 2021 with some truly amazing tribute nights Sheffield visitors will remember for years to come. Not only that, but we’re going to start putting some serious smiles back on people’s faces with comedy events Sheffield citizens can book for right now. Wanting to make up for 2020 with a fantastic 2021? The OEC is most certainly here to help.

Comedy Events Sheffield

2021 looks set to be a great year for comedy at The OEC, with more than a few rib-tickling evenings and events set up for guests to enjoy in the months to come. We’re now booking for comedy tributes and stand-up acts guaranteed to help you while away the hours in fits of laughter.

For example, in March, we’re pleased to be welcoming The Ultimate Peter Kay Experience – the best of the Bolton funnyman’s humour in a tribute package that’s on par with seeing the joker himself. We’ve also got the fantastic, celebrated Fawlty Towers dining experience heading our way in June 2021. Ever watched an episode of Fawlty Towers and wondered what it’d be like to stay at the infamous Torquay hotel? Now’s your chance to experience a unique interactive dinner and a show.

If you prefer a bit of the Irish craic, we’re delighted to be bringing a comedy tribute to Mrs Brown and her Boys later into 2021. This uproarious dining event will be splitting sides at the start of October next year, promising to bring the best of ‘Mammy’ and her crude yet hilarious attitude to Sheffield.

Get Dancing

As well as bringing our brilliant dining and tribute events back to Sheffield for 2021, we’re set to host a superb line-up of themed nights and dances. This means that you can be the belle of the ball at an event that turns back the clock – with a little help from our resident DJs and our outstanding acoustics!

For example – we’re kicking off the year right with a Motown & Soul celebration towards the end of January 2021, bringing you the biggest hits from one of the smoothest eras of popular music. As well as offering live music Sheffield visitors are sure to love, we’re setting up some great playlists and themed balls. Be sure to roll up your leg warmers for the Back to The 80’s event, which is heading to The OEC in March 2021.

We’ve a further Soul & Motown Night coming up in April, followed by a ball themed around the music of Grease and Dirty Dancing. Saturday Night At The Movies hits The OEC towards the end of May 2021.

There’s a retro Back to School Disco taking place at the end of August, along with our famous Halloween Ball in October – this time around, it’s all about the 80’s.

Return of the Tributes

Of course – what would an OEC events calendar be like without a few tribute acts thrown in? As always, we’ve made sure to scour around for the very best in tribute bands and singers who are almost like watching the real thing. We’re famous for hosting the best tribute nights Sheffield has to offer – bar none.

For example, experience live music Sheffield has never witnessed the likes of before with our superb George Michael tribute, heading to our stage in February 2021. Later in the year, we’re welcoming Kelly O’Brien offering her Dolly Show, and the greatest hits of Ms Parton, at the start of July.

Late September, we’ll play host to a spectacular Robbie Williams tribute, with Scott Borley taking to the stage to perform his greatest hits. He doesn’t just look like Robbie – he sounds like him, too! At the end of our calendar thus far, we’ll also be welcoming a fantastic Pink tribute, heading to The OEC mid-November 2021.

Unbelievable Entertainment

We’re also thrilled to be hosting a sporting dinner that’s likely to appeal to cricket fans and followers everywhere. Mid-March 2021, we’ll be playing host to the legendary Dusty Miller and Ian Botham, here at The OEC to talk about some of the highlights of their amazing sporting careers. As with many of our events here at the venue, there’s also going to be a three-course meal available.

We’ve got a similar event coming up for snooker fans, too, in April. We’ll be welcoming Jimmy White and John Virgo to The OEC, ready to give us some inside chat on the wild world of international snooker. Again – it’s going to be an experience you won’t forget in a hurry.

Ready for Fun?

The OEC is ready to start making Sheffield fun again. We’re going to do this with a smorgasbord of wonderful entertainment across the board in 2021. We’ve got some big events coming up towards the end of the year once we’re back open and welcoming you all as usual. However, do make sure to feast your eyes on our shows and line-ups for next year, too – and book ahead to beat the rush.

The OEC is Sheffield’s leading venue for comedy, tribute shows, unique dining experiences and more. While 2020 has needed a few changes to the schedule here and there, we’re firming 2021 up to make sure you have access to the best laughs, soundtracks and live music experiences the city has to offer.

Make sure you book in now – as some of our shows are filling seats and fast! Make 2021 a year to remember for all the right reasons – come on down to The OEC.
