It’s been a long time coming! The OEC is preparing to welcome you back to the best live events and VIP dining experiences in Sheffield. More than just a conference centre, The OEC has quickly become the place to go for thrilling live entertainment, exquisite dining, and fabulous weddings.
We were saddened by the closure of hospitality venues last year, though we were certainly willing to do our bit to help keep the public safe. We kept ourselves busy hosting blood donations and recycling our unused Christmas brochures. With our opening date on the near horizon, we are taking bookings for a full schedule of live entertainment and private events this year – in line with government safety guidelines. We can’t wait to welcome you all back.

As we start to reopen our venue, post-lockdown, it stands to reason there is going to be a bit of a rush when it comes to our popular events and evenings. Why not book a table for a friendly get-together, a birthday party or a works do? We have a delicious selection of menus for you to sample, designed and prepared by our amazing, world-class kitchen team.
One of the main reasons people choose The OEC for entertainment and parties is our schedule of award-winning tribute acts – we have something for everyone to enjoy. We also feature a selection of ‘interactive’ entertainment evenings, from the bonkers Bingo Revolution and mysterious clairvoyance evenings to flower arranging workshops with afternoon tea and our fabulous August wedding fayre.
For all the sports buffs out there, our sporting dinners are not to be missed! This year we are delighted to host two of England’s top cricket legends, Beefy Botham & Dusty Miller. The duo will host a live and silent auction while their guests tuck into a delectable three-course dinner. We also have VIP and VVIP tickets available for the most enthusiastic cricket fans to get their hands on!

What’s On in Sheffield?
If you’re looking for exciting events in Sheffield post-lockdown, now’s the time to check out the live events schedule at The OEC.
Our flower arranging workshop guests will be guided by the celebrated team at Monica F Hewitt Florists. If you have always wanted to try your hand at arranging a beautiful bouquet, you can book in for an exclusive workshop on 22nd August. This workshop includes a delightful afternoon tea to enjoy while you hone your floristry skills.
If you’re planning to tie the knot, do make sure you join us for our August wedding fayre. The OEC is a fantastic wedding and reception venue, so we’re very excited to host a wedding fayre this year. Our dedicated wedding planning team will be on hand to help you make those crucial vendor connections.
Our first post-lockdown wedding fayre is coming to The OEC on Sunday 8th August, between 11am and 2pm. Entry is free, and you’ll receive a free goody bag when you arrive. Our superb waiting staff will furnish you with a glass of Ginsecco and a selection of canapés to get into the mood for wedding planning.

Our first, post-lockdown live entertainment evening is on the horizon – The Boyband Reunion is set for 25th of June. Our guests will enjoy a trip down memory lane with some of the UK’s best tribute acts battling it out for a place in their hearts, while guests tuck into a scrumptious three-course dinner.
The hilarious Ultimate Peter Kay Experience on 16th July with live sitcom comedy from Only Fools and 3 Courses – a unique dining experience – on 3rd of September.
With The OEC due to reopen in June, it’s full steam ahead – and that goes for our Christmas events too! We’re now taking bookings for festive evenings, covering Christmas tribute nights, parties, dinners and New Year’s Eve – let’s make this year a celebration to remember.
