I can't wait to go back
1st time here and it makes you feel like you are going to a fancy event, it is clean, great layout and really attentive staff. This place is perfect for all events. I can’t wait to go back. Good value on cocktails and the food didn’t disappoint. Most of events get booked up quick so get booking!
For mass catering the food was excellent. Plates and food hot and delicious.
Went to a fabulous 80s party and had to give credit where due. Every member of staff (and there were lots) were super friendly, smiling and helpful. Great you can scan a code and as if by magic someone appears to take you drink order. For mass catering the food was excellent. Plates and food hot and delicious. The tables were cleared quickly too. They do everything right
My second visit to the OEC. Earlier in the year my friends came for the Abba night. It was so good we booked Christmas. Christmas functions at places like this or hotels can often be disappointing but not here, they do everything right. The service, staff and food is top notch. On both occasions the atmosphere has been amazing too, great music and lovely venue.
It’s the best night out we’ve have had in a long time
We attended the ABBA Tribute Night and it’s the best night out we’ve have had in a long time, really good food, good atmosphere, the staff were helpful and friendly all in all we had a lovely night and Will certainly book again!

Billy Ocean and Motown evening, with a 3-course meal. Good food, good music, and plenty of people in the mood to party.

Just wanted to drop you a message, we had a table tonight at your 80s event had a lovely night. This is the first time I have been and was very impressed. Lovely facilities, great food and great entertainment. Special mention to a young lad called Tom who was taking our drinks order at the table – very professional, friendly, he learnt nearly everybody’s names and nothing was too much trouble – first class!

NYE - Well worth the 1 year wait
Just wanted to say what an absolutely brilliant NYE night we had at the OEC. The venue, food, service and entertainment were all fantastic, well worth our 1 year wait and we will definitely book again. Thank you for all your help.

Yesterday went really well, everyone was very happy with the food. Also, I just want to say how good the team were. I have met Thomas before and he always goes above and beyond, and yesterday was no exception. The rest of the team also were attentive and responsive and we were very happy.

We could not have been more pleased with how yesterday went – we had a fantastic day! We were so impressed with the service we received from you, from start to finish, we honestly couldn’t fault any of it.
Your communication and the support you have given has been spot on, and nothing has been too much trouble which I have really appreciated, especially when I had last minute random questions or deliveries! The venue looks excellent and so many of our delegates commented on it. The food was delicious and the catering overall was fantastic. We specifically ask about this on our evaluation forms, and every single one gave it top marks, with some even drawing plus signs at the side too!
The staff were excellent, we only had to ask and it was sorted and it made everything run so smoothly. They were all so friendly as well and incredibly helpful. I have to give a special mention to both of the Thomas’s as well, who both provided a great service, and some laughs too!
We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again, and will definitely be recommending you to all our colleagues across the local authorities and organisations we work in.

Could I just say, that we have run a few events with your venue recently and we have had nothing but positive feedback about the venue and also the food, so please do pass on our thanks to all involved as we do appreciate greatly what your colleagues and of course yourself do to allow our training events to be a success.
We found the OEC to be an excellent choice of venue
We would like to pass on our thanks to the OEC events management team following our conference. In particular we would like to say thanks for, clear communication ahead of the event, providing the opportunity to store items ahead of the event day, early building opening and staff start to ensure we could set up from 6.30am, quick responses to queries on the day with concerns being resolved efficiently, smooth running of break and lunch times with hard working catering staff and support with IT set-up. Overall, we found the OEC to be an excellent choice of venue with friendly, approachable and hard working staff. Thanks once again to the whole team for supporting the smooth running of our event. We wouldn’t hesitate to use your venue again in the future or recommend it to others.

The day went well and I have had some lovely comments on how well the venue was received and the staff on the day. In short everyone was lovely and nothing was too much trouble across the board, which made for a great experience for our first conference and our guests! I am also pretty certain that if we are looking for a Sheffield venue in the future that they will look to you for help as they were most impressed. We are happy to say our event in the Rivelin Suite was a success.
We received exceptional service from the team throughout the day and the service continued into the evening. The food was lovely and plentiful too. We have received great feedback from guests, so much so they are considering hiring the Rivelin suite for their future events. Hopefully see you and the team next year!
