Join us for a Legendary Evening with Jimmy White MBE and John Virgo
Sheffield is no stranger to hosting snooker events and this city has hosted the World Championship since 1977. On the 9th April, 2021, the city will welcome back two of the absolute legends of the sport Jimmy White and John Virgo. The event to be hosted at the OEC, will be a mix of conversation and savouring the atmosphere with a three course meal. These leading lights will be accompanied by Sky Sport’s Jade Slusarczyk and compered by a rising star, Colin Phillips.
This is definitely a once in a life time experience for any snooker enthusiast who wishes to spend some time in the presence of the “Whirlwind”.
Not only will they get to see first hand, Jimmy White but also hear about the experiences of this London born snooker player who accumulated ten professional titles in his long and established career. This is a moment of magic that should not be missed and will be a delight for the audience on the night.
John Virgo or more fondly known as “JV” has had a wonderful career as a commentator since retiring from the professional game in 1995. John hailing from Salford is now regularly behind the microphone and never hesitates to input his years of experience into any tournament match he attends. This former 1979 UK Championship winner is well versed in the steeps of exhibition snooker and regularly accompanies Jimmy White at such events. With an instantly recognisable voice, JV brings joy to any snooker evening with a blend of humour and interesting memories.
The night will also involve twenty people, (ten at each table), having the opportunity to fine dine with Jimmy and John at one of their VIP tables.
A face to face meeting with any snooker player is a joy but to spend time in the company of such accomplished lights of snooker is a magical moment that would be hard to resist. Snooker and fine dining are a partnership that work so well together and with these sportsmen involved, can only lead to a winning formula. So stop overthinking and contact the OEC website now to be seated at this glorious evening.
